Passenger Travel Surveys
- Passenger O/D travel volume data is used to perceive change of population structure, change of social/economic status, and change of travel patterns caused by physical changes in transport systems. It is also used to build O/D travel volume databases, which are used as basic data to effectively establish, carry out, and evaluate all sorts of transport plans in Korea.
- With the public service project in 1998, a nationwide passenger O/D survey was conducted. Based on the National Transport System Efficiency Act, a standard national transport survey is conducted every 5 years (1998, 2005, 2010, 2016). Conduct supplementary surveys and preliminary surveys as necessary.
