Transport Demand Analysis Network

The transport demand analysis network, along with O/D travel volume, is basic data based on a GIS database that efficiently establishes, conducts, and evaluates transport plans. It is essential to obtain credibility of transport SOC investment evaluation.

Background and Purpose of Demand Analysis

  • In regard to analysis of transport investment, we have been building the GIS database-based network for annual transport demand analysis in order to reflect a constantly changing transport system.
  • Recently, the application and importance of transport analysis network is increasing, requiring faster and highly accurate database.
  • We plan to provide up-to-date transport demand analysis networks by constantly supplementing and updating it in order to obtain credible results in transport SOC investment evaluation and travel pattern analysis.

ontent range

  • Road network: mainly paved roads with more than one lane
  • Railway network: categorized as KTX (express railway), railway, and urban railway (including light rail)
  • Transit lines: categorized as KTX, railway, and urban railway (including light rail) based on train schedule (some types, such as irregular line and temporary commuting lines, are excluded)
